Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
We are seeking a Locums Certified Registered
Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time position in Gainesville, FL. The role
involves five 8-hour shifts per week, starting at 7 AM, with additional weekday
and weekend call requirements. The CRNA will join a well-established care team
that includes 25 CRNAs and 19 MDs, providing anesthesia services for a diverse
range of procedures. These include general surgery, orthopedics,
gastroenterology-endoscopy, ophthalmology, pediatrics, urology, robotics,
OB/GYN, bariatrics, vascular, cardiac ablations, interventional radiology, neuro-interventional
radiology, neurology, and bronchoscopy. There is no requirement for trauma or
cardiac cases. The CRNA will administer
anesthesia and manage patient care for a wide variety of surgical procedures,
ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The role also
includes providing anesthesia services for OB/GYN procedures, with an average
of 325 OB deliveries each month. The CRNA will be expected to participate in
the rotating call schedule, including weekday and weekend beeper calls, and to
maintain detailed documentation using the Meditech EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Certified
Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Active
Florida CRNA license (required).
- Board
Certified (required).
- ACLS
certification (required).
- Availability
for call shifts, with a preference for taking at least one 24-hour call
shift per month.
