Manager, Labor Relations
We are seeking an experienced Labor
Relations Manager to join our Human Resources team in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting
to the Director of Human Resources, this role is central to managing labor and
employee relations at the hospital, fostering a positive and collaborative work
environment.
The Labor Relations Manager will be responsible for overseeing labor relations
programs, addressing third-step grievances, and resolving employee complaints.
They will offer guidance to management on corrective discipline and labor
relations best practices, preparing for arbitration and unemployment hearings
as necessary. This role acts as a key liaison between the hospital, union
representatives (1199), and hospital departments, ensuring that contractual
agreements are understood and upheld.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years in a similar
Human Resources role, with labor relations experience.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws,
contract interpretation, and collective bargaining processes.
