Locum to Perm _ NP/PA - Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening in Fort Wayne, IN

Details:
Monday Thursday: Onsite 7:00am 4:30pm, followed by on-call
Friday: Onsite 7:00am 5:00pm, followed by on-call
Saturday & Sunday: 24-hour call; approx. 4 hours of onsite rounding starting at 6:00am
Preferred schedule: 7 on / 7 off
Rounding on ICU and stepdown inpatients, new consults, and discharges
Primarily rounding and medical management (especially on weekends); no guaranteed OR time
ICU call 1 2 nights/week (5:00pm 7:00am)
Weekend rounding support provided by RN (5:00am 5:00pm) who assists with phone calls and orders
Call includes managing inpatients, ER consults, and transfers
Weekday call: 4:30pm 6:00am; Weekend call: 5:00pm 5:00am
Laptop required for taking call

Surgical Responsibilities:
EVH required for PAs (~500 cases / 10 years experience ideal)
Use of Hemapro 2; may help train APPs in EVH
Assist in OR (CABG, valves, aortic dissections, robotic thoracic, VATs, open vascular cases like CEA, AAA, etc.)
Possible OR call for emergencies on weekends

Requirements:
NP or PA with cardiothoracic surgery experience
PAs must have experience with EVH
Must bring a laptop for remote call access
Ability to take ICU and inpatient call
Comfortable working independently and in a high-acuity environment
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Located 2 hours from Indianapolis and about 2.5 hours from Chicago
