**Coverage Need**
- Reason for coverage: Permanent placement to support Surgical Services
**Position Details**
- Shift options: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
- Specialties covered: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgery and room turnover
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
- Provide direct patient care and support for surgical services
- Maintain sterile techniques and effective communication
- Physical requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Requires fine motor skills and adequate reaction time for patient care
**Submissions Requirements**
- Board-certified Physician Assistant
- Active OR license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of Orthopedic PA work experience (excluding training)
- Ties to Oregon (e.g., family or prior residency in the state): Required
**Skill Requirements**
- Experience with surgical procedures and operative support
- Effective communication and customer-service orientation
- Knowledge of proper sterile techniques and OR protocols
