Job Description
Are you an experienced primary care nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) who aims to make a difference in the lives of your patients by providing quality care? TeamHealth needs someone like you! TeamHealth is hiring a part-time nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to work 2 to 3 days a week covering weekends providing primary care in a skilled nursing facility environment in the Tacoma area. This job includes the flexibility to set up your preferred start time, autonomy over your practice, uncapped earning potential and the opportunity to build a position that matches your ideal lifestyle and career goals.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting for short-term and long-term patients
  • Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
  • Order and interpret lab results
  • Prescribe and monitor medications
  • Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other clinicians 
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related 
Requirements: 
  • New grads encouraged to apply
  • Post-acute care experience a plus but not required
  • Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in the state of Washington
  • Active and unrestricted DEA for the state of Washington
Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential. Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. This part-time role is not benefit eligible.
