Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
We are
seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
to join the anesthesiology team at a prestigious 620-bed, Level 1 trauma center
and teaching hospital in Burlington, VT. This facility provides cutting-edge
care for the local community as well as the greater regions of Vermont and
northern New York, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced,
collaborative environment.
As a
CRNA in this role, you will provide high-quality anesthesia care within a
traditional Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model. Responsibilities include
administering anesthetics for a wide range of surgical procedures, such as
General Surgery, GYN, ENT, Vascular, Robotic, Urology, Orthopedics, Plastics,
Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy,
Electrophysiology, MRI, and Ophthalmology. Duties also include conducting
pre-anesthetic assessments, developing individualized anesthesia plans,
monitoring patients during procedures, and managing post-anesthetic recovery.
You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the broader
healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care, while maintaining
accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and
standards.
The
position offers flexibility, with schedules including either four 10-hour
shifts or three 12- to 13-hour shifts per week. Shift days will vary weekly,
providing variety and balance.
To be
considered for this position, candidates must have current CRNA certification
through NBCRNA, an active Vermont CRNA license (or eligibility for licensure),
and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Experience with a wide variety of
surgical cases is preferred. Candidates should also possess strong clinical
judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
This
620-bed teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center manages more than 25,000
anesthetic cases annually across 20 operating rooms and 4 minor procedure
rooms. It offers a dynamic work environment with exposure to diverse procedures

Qualifications:
- Current CRNA certification through
NBCRNA.
- Active Vermont CRNA license or
eligibility for licensure.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
required.
- Experience with a wide variety of
surgical cases is preferred.
