St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is a level II trauma designated facility with 175 beds, 22-bed open ICU. During the day shift (7a-7p) there are a total of 6 physicians working; 5 rounding physicians with 1 admitter, 1 swing physician (12p-12a) who does only admissions (around 10), and 1 hospitalist that rounds in an acute inpatient rehab. At night (7p-7a), we have one nocturnist physician and one nurse practitioner who handle roughly 10 admissions in total. There is full specialty support in place as well as a rapid response team to handle codes. The current EMR in place at all St. David's locations is Meditech.
