EEG Technician

We are looking for an experienced EEG
Technician to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. The Technician will be responsible for
measuring brain activity using an EEG machine. The technician will manage
patient preparation, ensuring electrodes are correctly placed on the head and
ears, and will perform six different brain activity tests, recording results on
8-channel EEG graphs. Duties include adjusting machine settings to eliminate
outside interference, stimulating brain activity with flashing lights to
monitor reactions, and recording detailed notes on each test. The role also
requires providing sedation for children when necessary and ensuring patient
comfort before and after testing. In addition to testing, the EEG Technician
will handle clerical tasks such as documenting results, managing EEG records,
and maintaining equipment sterilization.
Compensation: The hourly rate is $27.67, increasing to $28.20 after
90 days.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a 1-year course in EEG
Technology
- Minimum two (2) years of EEG
experience
- Experience with EEG calibration,
patient preparation, and data documentation
