This position is for our new CHRISTUS West facility that will open in March of 2025!
-Upon hire you will train at CHRISTUS facilities in Beaumont and Mid County until the facility opens up.
Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Director/ Manager, the Radiology Supervisor is responsible for planning and overseeing all operational aspects and activities for assigned sections/modalities, locations and support areas. The major responsibilities are supervising all day-to-day operations including the delivery of care, patient satisfaction, human resource management, equipment oversight and process improvement activities. In addition to daily supervision, this individual will participate in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, supplies, budgeting and financial management and future programs and services. Behavior and communication skills must align with the organizations mission, values and culture.
Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Assists with the Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Programs.
- Ensures that all rooms are cleaned and maintained during and after each work shift.
- Monitors equipment performance and promptly reports any equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Ascertains that all work orders are submitted for the repair of the equipment. Performs follow up with the Bio-Medical Engineer until issues are resolved.
- Performs imaging procedures according to the established protocols.
- Coordinates and prioritizes imaging procedures during the workday, maintaining a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Coordinates nursing support, maximizing and allocating time for each procedure and continuity of care.
- Ascertains that all charges and are correctly entered and documented with the appropriate code.
- Assists with Human Resources activities to include interviewing, hiring, training and associate performance.
- Assists the Director or Manager with other duties to include associate scheduling, evaluating and counseling, and Critical Testing Report.
- Verifies payroll and assists in the managing of working hours.
- Ensures regulatory standards are met to ensure patient and associate safety.
- Ensures that all areas of the department are adequately supplied.
- Purchases medical and offices supplies.
- Demonstrates adherence to the CORE values of Christus Health.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
Experience
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience as a technologist required
Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience as a lead technologist or a similar position preferred
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Current Registration (ARRT) required
- Current state licensure required
- BLS required
