Responsibilities
Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife or an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join its OBGYN practice at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
- Join a highly experienced team of 9 physicians, with a double physician team in-house 24 hours a day
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3-years experience in women’s health and be enthusiastic life-long learners
- Responsibilities will include working closely with team in covering OB triage, emergency room, obstetric and gynecologic consults, patient rounds, and fetal monitoring
- Surgical assist experience and qualifications are a plus but not required
- Deliveries performed by physician team
- 12-hour shift model from 7a–7p or 7p–7a
- Over 6000 deliveries annually at the hospital, 20% delivered by the hospitalist team
- Supported by an amazing Level-IV NICU team with our affiliated practice of board-certified neonatologists available 24 hours a day
- Additional support by a comprehensive and experienced anesthesia team available 24 hours a day
- St. Joseph's Women's Hospital is widely regarded as "the place in Tampa to have a baby" because of their comfortable labor and delivery suites, extensive childbirth education programs, Level-IV NICU and maternal/fetal program that offers the security expectant mothers need
Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Certified CNM or WHNP with recent experience required
- FL license required
