Locums Emergency Medicine Pediatric Physician
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
Pediatric Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Neptune, NJ. This
position offers the chance to work in a dedicated pediatric emergency
department within a high-acuity facility.
This role features a flexible shift schedule with 10-hour physician shifts
and 8-hour Advanced Practice Provider (APP) shifts. Shift options include 7:00
AM to 5:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 8 hours of
daily APP coverage to support patient care. Weekend coverage is required, but
there are no on-call responsibilities.
The pediatric emergency department handles approximately 22,000 annual visits and is fully independent, featuring 8 pediatric beds, including private rooms. This facility is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with access to a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 40-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Life Certification Requirements: EM/PEDS Require moderate Sedation course if not EM Boarded, IF BC must have ATLS, ACLS, BLS and PALS
Residency Requirements: Pediatric or regular EM with Peds experience
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible to apply
Must submit 24 months of case logs
Specialty Back Up: Scribes, 24/7 anesthesia, trauma, neurosurgery and picu in house
Active DEA license
Active New Jersey state medical license
