**Locums Obstetrics and Gynecology - Port Charlotte, FL** **Assignment Dates** - Start Date: January 18, 2025 - End Date: Ongoing **Coverage Need** - Call-only coverage (beeper call) **Position Details** - Practice Setting: Inpatient - Patients Per Shift: 010 - Patient Population: Women aged 1640 - Beds in Department: 10 - Admissions Required: Yes - Trauma Level: N/A (Level II NICU available) - Call Response Time: 15 minutes to return calls - Phone Consults: 1525 per shift - Admissions: 6 per shift - EMR System: Cerner (hospital) / Athena (clinic) - Support Staff: 3 RNs, 3 PA/NPs **Schedule** - Shifts: 12 hours (8 AM8 PM for day shifts, 8 PM8 AM for night shifts) - Weekly Shifts: 45 shifts per week (days and nights) - Call Coverage: Assigned and unassigned patients **Skill Requirements** - Routine Deliveries: Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-sections - Complicated Deliveries: C-sections, breech, multiple births, VBACs, abruptions - Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations - Obstetrics: Low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation (preferred), OB ultrasounds (preferred) - Gynecology: Surgical and minor procedures (preferred) **Requirements** - Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology: Yes - Active FL Medical License: Required - Clean malpractice and background history: Required - Certifications: ACLS, BLS
