Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locums Orthopedic Surgeon to provide weekend coverage from Friday at 5:00 PM to Monday at 6:00 AM at our not-for-profit hospital and physician group located just 20 miles south of Boston, MA. On-site presence is not required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.
The primary responsibilities of this role include providing orthopedic surgical coverage, including consultations, evaluations, and emergency surgical procedures. You will also be responsible for rounding on hospitalized orthopedic patients and addressing both acute and chronic conditions. The role involves managing fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries, and other orthopedic cases. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physician assistants, and hospital staff, is essential to ensure seamless patient care. Additionally, accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans in the facility’s EMR system is required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state Massachusetts.
- DEA certification.
