**Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Lansing, MI** **Coverage** - Start: ASAP - End: March 2025 - Open Dates: Multiple shifts for dates through February 5, 2025, including: - M-F: 6am-4pm, 10am-8pm, 12-10, 4pm-2am, 8pm-6am - Sat/Sun: 6am-4pm, 10-am-8pm, 4pm-2am, 8pm-6am - Schedule: Weekdays/Weekends: 9-10 hour shifts (various times). - No Call required. **Position Details** - Practice Setting: Emergency Department. - Patient Volume: ~110 per day; 40,000 annual ED volume. - Support Staff: Full nursing, 12 hours of daily APP coverage, and residents. - Trauma Level: III. - EMR System: Cerner. - Fast Track: Yes (staffed by APPs, handles ~15% of total ED volume). **Requirements** - Board Certification: ABEM or AOBEM required. - License: Active Michigan license required at submission; no IMLC. - Certifications: BLS required. - Experience: Prior ED experience highly preferred. - Background: Clean malpractice and background required for quick credentialing. - Residency Supervision: Required to oversee APPs and residents. **Skills and Procedures** - Adult/Pediatric/General Outpatient. - Newborn resuscitation. - Orthopedic (non-displaced fractures). - Suturing of minor lacerations. - Incision and drainage. - Ventilation management. - Central Line/Arterial Line placement. - EKG interpretation, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis. **Additional Information** - Hourly Rate: $275/hour (holiday and overtime rates apply). - Expenses: Car, fuel, mileage, hotel has $150 cap - Orientation: Paid at half the hourly rate. - Local candidates only
