**Locums 7/7 Family Medicine OB 24Hr Call - Garden City, KS** **Coverage Details** - Start Date: January 24, 2025 - End Date: Ongoing **Currently Open (all shifts end the following day at 7a): - Jan 24-28 - Mar 1-8 - Mar 17-27 - Apr 2-12 - Apr 17-30 - May 1-3 - May 13-22 - June 9-12 - June 17-19 - June 24-27 - July 7-24 - July 29-Aug 3 - Aug 4-31 - Sept 1-4 - Sept 9-25 - Ongoing 2025 **Details** - Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + 24-Hour Call - Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 AM) - Call Type: Obstetrics and Emergency Gynecology Cases - Call Response Time: Immediate **Practice Setting** - Setting: Clinic and Inpatient Call - Patients Per Shift: - Clinic: 16-25 patients - Inpatient: 3-6 patients - Admissions: Required - Annual Births: 50 births per year - NICU: Level 2, staffed with neonatal nurse practitioners and tele-neonatologist backup - EMR System: Epic **Skills & Procedures** - Required: - Minimum 50 vaginal deliveries (at least 20 in the last 12 months) - Minimum 50 C-sections (at least 20 in the last 12 months) - C-sections, hysterectomies, and all OB/GYN procedures - Completion of EMR training before the start date - Preferred: - Clean malpractice history **Duties** - Clinic Duties: New obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations - Surgical Duties: Twice-weekly surgical blocks for non-emergent surgeries - Call Duties: Emergency obstetric and gynecological cases, including deliveries **Requirements** - Board Certification: FMOB Required or Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years post-residency) - Certifications: BLS and DEA (active and maintained for the duration of the assignment) - License: Active Kansas license (preferred) or willingness to obtain - Case Logs: Must include a minimum of 50 C-sections and 50 vaginal deliveries in the past 24 months (20 each in the last 12 months) - EMR Training: Modules and virtual training must be completed before the start date **Support Staff** - Lab Techs - LPNs/LVNs - MAs - RNs - CRNAs and Midwives **Additional Details** - Census: Primarily adults and adolescents - Beds: 10 - Facility Support: Critical care physicians, cardiologists, general surgeons, and urologists available for backup - Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days from state license issuance - Lodging: Must be within 15 minutes of the hospital - Air Travel: Acceptable
