**Position Overview:**
Are you looking for a challenging and fulfilling career in community-based Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine? We are seeking an enthusiastic Pediatrician, board certified or board eligible, to join our dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist team. This position involves providing care for newborns, including well-newborns, Level II NICU, and delivery attendance, as well as pediatric inpatients and emergency department consults.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Patient Care:** Provide care independently during 12 or 24-hour shifts, with in-house support from OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine, and family practice physicians. Be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, and stabilization of critically ill newborns.
- **Team Support:** Work alongside pediatric and adult hospitalists, with pediatric subspecialty/NICU/PICU support available by phone. Average daily census of 4-6 patients.
- **Teaching:** Involve in teaching 1-2 learners (family medicine residents and medical students) on weekdays.
- **Shift Coverage:** 12 or 24-hour shifts available, with support from OBs, midwives, and other specialists. Pediatric subspecialty and NICU support available by phone from the nearest facility (1 hour away by ground).
