Locums Neonatology Physician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locums Neonatology Physician to provide coverage at a reputable healthcare facility in Gainesville, FL. The position involves a 7am-7am shift, with 7am-3pm for rounding and 3pm-7am for on-call responsibilities. The physician will be responsible for rounding in the NICU and managing call duties as needed.

The key responsibilities of this role include rounding on NICU patients, providing neonatal care, and managing emergency situations during call hours. The physician will be expected to care for an average daily patient load of 10-15 neonates in the Level III NICU.

The facility is a comprehensive healthcare center with a total of 523 beds, including a 25-bed Level III NICU and a 36-bed nursery. It handles an average of 3,500 births and deliveries annually, with an average daily census of 14 neonates in the NICU. The facility utilizes the PremiEHR/Meditech EMR system for patient documentation and care management.

 

Requirements:

 

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Board Certification in Neonatology
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Active Florida Medical License
