Dietary Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dietary Supervisor to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of dietary workers to ensure efficient food service operations. The Dietary Supervisor enforces all safety and sanitation protocols, including HACCP standards, and ensures compliance with departmental and hospital policies.

In this role, the Dietary Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of dietary staff to ensure the efficient operation of food services. The supervisor will enforce safety and sanitation standards in line with HACCP guidelines and hospital policies, while also providing guidance and training to dietary workers to ensure high-quality service. Additionally, the supervisor will monitor food preparation and service, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and patient needs, and maintaining detailed records related to food service operations and staff performance. Collaboration with the team to identify areas for improvement and the implementation of best practices will be essential for maintaining optimal food service delivery.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         High school graduate or equivalent is required.

·         An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related field is preferred.

·         A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Food Service Supervisor or two (2) years as a lead dietary worker is preferred.

·         Completion of an approved 90-120 hour Dietary Manager course or equivalent is highly desirable.

·         ServSafe certification is preferred and should be obtained within the first year of employment.
