TeamHealth is seeking a dynamic and experienced emergency medicine (EM) physician leader to join our exceptional team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. As a leader within our emergency department (ED), you will play a pivotal role in managing patient care, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative team of dedicated clinicians, work alongside multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our ED.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice clinicians
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing, and other medical departments to improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
Participate in the development and implementation of protocols, clinical guidelines, and policies to enhance patient care
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among staff
Foster a positive and supportive work environment for all team members
Take an active role in recruitment, retention, and staff development initiatives

Qualifications:

Board-certified in emergency medicine
Experience in an EM leadership role
Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management, conflict resolution, and mentoring
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and quality improvement initiatives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
