Responsibilities

Pediatrix® Medical Group has an opportunity for a Neonatologist to join our team at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. 

  • Level-III unit with 14 beds and an average daily census of 8-10 with approximately 2,000 annual deliveries
  • Care for babies born earlier than 28 weeks and weighing less than 1,000 grams
  • In addition to 24/7 NNP coverage, there is MFM and OB hospitalist on-site support as well
  • Halifax Medical Center is involved in VON and Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative Initiatives
  • Join our NICU and newborn nursery team quality and evidence-based neonatal initiatives

  • Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach is a 563-bed hospital  
  • The 24-hour emergency department includes the area's only Level II Trauma Center 
  • The Level-III NICU is the only one in the surrounding counties
  • Founded by the state legislature, it has been in operation for almost 100 years 
  • Halifax Health provides a continuum of healthcare services through a network of organizations including hospitals, urgent care, rehabilitation, hospice, psychiatric and a preferred provider organization
