Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens opportunity in Galesburg, IL. The CRNA will be responsible for providing anesthesia care for a variety of general surgical procedures in a supportive and dynamic clinical environment.   As a Locums CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during various surgical procedures. You will work in collaboration with the anesthesia team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. You will also be expected to manage anesthesia for a range of procedures including OB, ortho, podiatry, and urology, as well as assist in endoscopic procedures as needed. The CRNA will monitor vital signs, manage airway maintenance, and provide post-anesthesia care to ensure patient recovery.  

The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The typical day involves running 4 operating rooms, often until 3:00 PM, and providing anesthesia for a variety of "bread and butter" and general cases. The primary cases include OB, orthopedic, podiatry, endoscopy (as needed), and urology. There will be no involvement with heart or neurosurgery cases.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible CRNA
• IL State License required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR, PALS
