Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia coverage in Pontiac, Illinois for the dates of 12/30, 12/31, 1/2, and 1/3. This is a full-time temporary position, where you will be responsible for managing 5-7 surgical cases per day, utilizing a variety of anesthesia techniques. The CRNA will perform essential procedures such as intubation, spinal anesthesia, and Bier Block. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CRNA looking for short-term work in a supportive and dynamic hospital environment.

As a Locums CRNA, you will be tasked with administering anesthesia for various surgical procedures. You will perform essential anesthesia techniques including intubation, spinal anesthesia, and Bier Block. You will be responsible for overseeing 5-7 cases each day, ensuring that patients are monitored safely during their procedures and recovery periods. In addition, you will maintain clear and accurate documentation, adhere to hospital policies, and ensure the safety of patients throughout the anesthesia process.

You will also communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure optimal care and patient outcomes. It will be essential for you to provide pre-operative and post-operative education for patients as needed. You must work in compliance with all hospital regulations and be proactive in ensuring a smooth and safe workflow in the operating room.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Certified/Board Eligible CRNA
• Illinois State Licensure (active and in good standing)
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Strong experience in administering and monitoring anesthesia.
• Proficient in intubation, spinal anesthesia, and Bier Block.
