Locums Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Cumberland, MD. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care, including TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) coverage and occasionally reading EKGs or TTE (Transthoracic Echocardiography) studies. The provider will primarily be responsible for seeing new patient consults and will be supported by an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). 

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with call coverage from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The main responsibilities will include providing TEE coverage, reading EKGs and TTE studies as needed, performing new patient consultations, and collaborating with an APP to manage patient care.

 

Qualifications:

• BE/BC in Cardiology
• Active Maryland state licensure (required).
• Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• No additional cardiology-specific certifications required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiology, with a strong background in TEE, EKG, and TTE interpretation.
