Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking an experienced Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia coverage in a dynamic healthcare setting in Carlisle, PA. This role offers a diverse case mix across multiple locations and an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services at 11 rotating locations, including the main Operating Room (OR), a surgery center, and Labor & Delivery (L&D). Responsibilities include covering L&D (with a preference for candidates with obstetrics experience), performing inpatient ICU intubations, and administering anesthesia for a variety of cases in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Typical cases include bread-and-butter anesthesia, outpatient surgery center procedures, inpatient ICU intubations, and medically directed C-sections. Procedures performed will involve spinals, airway management, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), and General Anesthesia (GA).

The schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with typical assignments including 4 ten-hour shifts per week. The role also requires additional on-call support for overflow and emergent procedures. Rotations will be divided as follows: 80% main OR, 15% surgery center, and 5% L&D.

Candidates must be available for at least 72 hours per month, which may be fulfilled by 6 (12-hour shifts), 7 (10-hour shifts), or 9 (8-hour shifts).

 

Qualifications:

• Board Certified CRNA.
• Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania state licensure or willingness to obtain.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPR, and PALS are required.
• Obstetrics experience is preferred.
