Locums Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens opportunity in hospital medicine in Lake City, FL. This role provides an excellent chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment, delivering comprehensive inpatient care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
As a Locums Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will manage the care of hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning. Your duties will include performing detailed patient evaluations, such as histories and physical examinations, as well as ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and laboratory results.

You will collaborate with attending physicians and specialists to develop and implement treatment plans and respond to patient needs, including acute changes in condition.  Additionally, you will communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality care and positive patient outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Florida.
• Board certification as an NP or PA in a relevant specialty.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
