Locums OB Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OB Hospitalist Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a facility in Mishawaka, IN. This position offers a flexible schedule with 24-hour coverage, including shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, or 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Weekend coverage may be required as part of the schedule.

The hospital features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), offering advanced care for newborns. As part of the role, you will stay in an on-site hospital "hotel room" and may cover shifts for up to 2-4 consecutive days, ensuring comprehensive obstetric care and support for patients.
As the OB Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality obstetric care. Your duties will include managing labor and delivery, conducting prenatal evaluations, and providing postpartum care. You will respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, ensuring optimal outcomes for both mothers and newborns.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists and NICU staff, to manage high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. Additionally, you will perform fetal heart monitoring, interpret results to guide clinical decisions, and maintain accurate and timely medical records.

 

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency (ABMS/AOA).
• Active Indiana medical license.
• Current certifications in NRP, PALS, and NCC Fetal Heart Monitoring.
