Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department in Lansing, MI. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative work environment, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care.
The schedule includes weekday shifts from 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM, and 8:00 PM–6:00 AM. Weekend shifts are from 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM, and 8:00 PM–6:00 AM. Weekend coverage is required.
This Emergency Department handles an annual ED volume of 40,000 visits and has 42 beds. Physicians will see approximately 110 patients per day, with 22% of ED patients being admitted to the hospital daily. Additionally, 70% of the hospital’s total admissions are received from the Emergency Department, and less than 1% of ED patients are transferred daily. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center.
As a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions. Duties include evaluating and managing patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). Board eligibility is not accepted.
• Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license (MI).
• Certifications in BLS.
• Emergency Department experience is highly preferred.
• Provider must be local to the Lansing area.
