Locums PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide coverage across multiple clinics in the Houston, TX area. This position is on an as-needed basis to fill in for our current providers during vacation or sick days, ensuring continuity of care for our patients.  As a Locums PRN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing both percutaneous food testing and percutaneous and intracutaneous environmental allergy testing. You will diagnose, manage, and treat asthma within your scope of practice, as well as diagnose and treat various allergic disorders such as hives and eczema. Utilizing a nasal endoscope, you will inspect patients' sinuses for structural defects and make recommendations for further allergy and sinus treatments as needed. Additionally, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and treatment following sinus procedures performed by surgeons. Ensuring that patient charting is completed within 24 hours of each visit is also a key aspect of this role.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant/NP Program.
• Must have a current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant License in the state of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience in allergy and sinus care preferred, but not required.
