Job Details:
Location: Virginia

Schedule:
Clinic: Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)
Night Call Coverage: Monday - Friday (8 PM - 8 AM)
Weekend Call: Saturday - Sunday (24-hour coverage)

Hospital Setting:
Non-trauma hospital
Consults primarily from Pediatric Emergency Department (approx. 0-2 calls per day)
Hospital performs 8-10 emergent pediatric surgeries per year
15-minute max call back time for emergency consults
30-minute max response time
0-4 patients per day per provider

Rounding: Locum provider will round on admitted patients and handle weekend surgical consults as needed
Support Staff: Office staff available during the day to triage calls, including prescription refills

Requirements:
Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery - REQUIRED (No exceptions)
Active Virginia Medical License - REQUIRED
DEA License - REQUIRED at time of submission
Clean Background - REQUIRED (No exceptions)
BLS & PALS Certifications - REQUIRED
COI Coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M (Virginia statute limitations) if requested by the facility
Must be available for listed dates - NO exceptions

On-Call: Yes, 8 AM - 8 AM
Weekend Coverage: Yes, 24-hour call
Max call response time: 30 minutes
