**Position Details**
We are a Joint Commission-accredited, community-based hospital in Nashville, dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare to all segments of our community, including underserved populations.

**Responsibilities:**

Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, anemia, and solid tumors.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
Manage complications related to cancer treatment, such as neutropenia, infections, and adverse effects.
Perform bone marrow aspirations, biopsies, and other necessary procedures.

Collaborative Care:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and surgeons.
Participate in tumor boards, case reviews, and treatment planning meetings.
Provide consultation services to other medical departments.

Patient Education & Support:
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive services.
Engage in palliative care and pain management strategies when necessary.
Offer emotional support and counseling for patients and families dealing with cancer diagnoses.

Research & Continuous Education:
Stay current with advances in hematology and oncology through continuing medical education (CME), conferences, and research.
Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives when appropriate.

Administrative & Compliance:
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with legal, regulatory, and institutional policies.
Follow best practices and protocols in line with national and institutional guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.

**Qualifications:**
Education & Licensure:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology.
Active and unrestricted medical license in [State].
Fellowship training in Oncology and/or Hematology is required.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical hematology/oncology preferred (new graduates with strong training considered).
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and treatment of both benign and malignant blood disorders.
Experience with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a plus.
