Occupational Therapist Lead, Phys Med Therapy Occupational - Full time

Summary:

This position requires providing services to Therapy Patients, ages between children/adolescents to geriatrics in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for interpreting and carrying out the prescription of the physician per practice act guidelines 

• Responsible for overall direction, utilization, supervision, and instruction of physical therapist; physical therapy assistants; support staff; volunteers and students utilized in the department 

• Assists, by providing input, with performance evaluations of Occupational therapists; occupational therapy assistants and support staff 

• Responsible for protection of confidential data and the safety and welfare of patients and other associates 

• Assists with day to day operations of the department which may include; data reporting; record audits; attendance management and timekeeper responsibilities 

• Assists with training and orientation of new associates 

• Assists with ensuring compliance with all government regulated agencies 

• Performs other duties as assigned 

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills 

• Master's Degree required 

B. Experience 

• 3 - 5 years of experience preferred 

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications 

• OT License in the state of employment required 

• BLS required
