PA needed in North Carolina for Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage CPH# JOB-3024694

Physician Assistant needed in North Carolina for Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage. Must be Board Certified, have current DEA, and NC state license. Shifts will be Weekdays 6 am - 6 pm, weekend call Friday 5 pm - Monday 7 am. First assist, post-op care with ICU management, and clinic. Patient population is adults/geriatrics. Must be comfortable with Saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic) and tube thoracostomy, management of ventilators and critically ill patients, and placement of central lines, arterial lines (femoral, radial), Swan-Ganz catheters, and chest tubes. Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience in titrating inotropic and pressor medications. Support staff includes 3 surgeons, 4 PAs.
