Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join an existing group of general surgeons to expand the footprint of care within the Metro Detroit area in Dearborn, Michigan.  This position requires 3–5 years of experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures coupled with bread & butter cases.  Bariatric care is also available; however, bariatrics is not the main focus of this position.    Must be board certified by the ACS and have the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan if your license is not only in place.    Surgical cases will be performed at Harper University Hospital and Sinai Grace hospital for back-up.  Call coverage will be shared.  Must be willing to assist with building your practice through referrals from outside our system of care.

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is an award-winning medical center comprised of four adult hospitals and a freestanding pediatric hospital. Our practice sites include Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, tertiary care adult and pediatric referral centers and community hospitals.

The Detroit Medical Center hospital system is affiliated with the Wayne State University GME program that houses both general surgery residency and fellowship general surgery programs.
