Job Description
- Permanent Internal Medicine Board Certified Hospitalist
- Minimum 5 years of hospitalexperience
- $1,500 per day
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Management of 8 beds
- Med-Surg (Medical-Surgical)
- Telemetry
- No ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
- Low Acuity
- Inpatient Care:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients.
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor patient progress and update treatment plans.
- Patient Admission:
- Assess and admit patients to the hospital based on their medical condition.
- Obtain and document patient histories and conduct physical examinations.
- Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure timely consultations with specialists when necessary.
- Patient Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis.
- Provide education and support to patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
- Discharge Planning:
- Develop and implement discharge plans to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or other care facilities.
- Provide post-discharge instructions and follow-up care recommendations.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies and protocols.
- Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
