* Medical Center seeks a BC/BE general neurosurgeon to join our busy and growing hospital-employed practice of four surgeons and seven physician assistants.
* This is an excellent opportunity to work in conjunction with a multi-specialty trauma program, supported by skilled staff.
* Completed modernization including a Neuroscience Center with a concentration on Stroke and Complex Spine.
* This modernization consists of upgrades to our facility, operating room and equipment including a state-of-the-art 3D C-Arm and Image Guided Navigation systems
* Support services include in-house hospitalists, stroke team, neurology, interventional pain, rehabilitation, diagnostic neuroradiology, fully staffed ICU, PICU and NICU, with dedicated intensivists

Medical Center:
We are a modern 411-bed regional tertiary care center, serving a population of 500,000 living in the northern 2/3 of the state s geography. Our hospital is designated as a Stroke Center of Excellence and is a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transportation service flying nearly 1000 missions per year. Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center that offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, including a robust, over-45-physician-strong, hospitalist service available 24/7.
