Job Summary:
HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center.About HCA Orange Park Trauma:
- Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up (rarely called in)
- The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage
- General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service
- The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives
- 2,000+ trauma patients in 2024
- Covers all trauma and emergency general surgery call for the hospital
- Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care
- Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions
- No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction
- Have current, unrestricted DEA registration
- Employment position through HCA Physician Services Group (PSG)
