Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is looking for a Vice Chief CRNA who is passionate about high quality patient care and leading a team focused on excellence at HCA Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA.As the Vice Chief CRNA, you'll partner with the Chief CRNA to lead and supervise a dedicated group of anesthesia professionals. You will play a pivotal role in aligning facility goals with divisional objectives while ensuring optimal patient care delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop continuous performance improvement and risk management programs.
- Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements.
- Lead educational initiatives to meet APP continuing education needs.
- Maintain efficient perioperative workflow and oversee scheduling.
- Collaborate with leadership to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
- Oversee recruitment efforts for quality APPs in collaboration with recruitment teams.
- Supervise and evaluate staff APPs, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university and 5 or more years of managerial experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the AANA/NBCRNA.
- Active licensure with current ACLS, BLS certification.
- Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Anesthesia Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 29 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service on average.
- Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics.
- Annual surgical volume 18,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average.
- Current schedule includes 8/10/12 hour shifts. Post call day off. Weekday and weekend call shared equally.
- Employed position with HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services.
- Start Date (commencement) bonus up to $75,000.
