Emergency Medicine Night Shift Coverage

Job Details:

We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide locum tenens coverage in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department in South Carolina. We offer flexible scheduling and a dynamic, high-acuity work environment.

Position Details:

• Primarily night shifts needed
• 8-hour shifts preferred, but 12-hour shifts can be accommodated
• 12-14 shifts per month (flexible scheduling)
• ED Volume: 190 visits/day on average
• Facility Level: Level 2 trauma center (operates as a Level 1)
• Transfer Rate: Exceptionally low; transfers mainly for burns, amputations, and high-risk OB cases
• Support Staff: 5 APPs (mix of NPs and PAs), APP extenders, and scribes

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Emergency Medicine
• Training: Must be Emergency Medicine residency trained
• Licensure: Active South Carolina Medical License
• Certifications: CSR & DEA (must remain permanently registered in SC)
• Must be comfortable treating all ages
• All emergency medicine procedures required
