**Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opening in AL**
**Located in Tuscaloosa, 57m to Birmingham**
Sign-on Bonus: $45,000 (full-time)
Position Type: Regular Full-Time (72 to 80 hours bi-weekly)
Overview
Join a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model with supportive, friendly, and caring coworkers. Enjoy flexible scheduling and teaching opportunities with SRNA clinical rotations. Provide anesthesia services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a diverse OR case mix including General Surgery, Trauma, Maxillofacial, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Thoracic, Vascular, and Orthopedics. Participate in non-OR anesthesia practices, including IR, Endoscopy, CT, MRI, and EP cases.
Responsibilities
Under physician supervision, provide anesthesia and related services for patients.
Select and administer appropriate anesthesia techniques, medications, and adjunct drugs.
Review patient charts, perform physical assessments, and evaluate laboratory data to formulate anesthesia plans for pre, intra, and post-operative care.
Perform endotracheal intubation, extubation, and invasive monitoring.
Identify and manage emergency situations, including CPR.
Communicate effectively with staff and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for all customers.
Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards.
Adhere to compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook and follow established safety protocols.
Qualifications
Current RN license in Alabama and graduation from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia.
Initial certification and current recertification with the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
Competence with anesthesia equipment and pharmaceuticals.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Working Conditions
Environmental:
Exposure to human body fluids, anesthetic gases, diseases, infections, lab chemicals, and hazardous materials.
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
Physical:
Medium work: Exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical presence onsite is essential; must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Psychological:
Requires contact with others, face-to-face or in groups, while ensuring health, safety, and confidentiality of others.
Must work well in a team setting.
All other duties as assigned.
