Job Summary:
HCA Midwest Health is seeking a thoracic surgeon to join the current complement of five highly skilled surgeons.Qualified Candidates:
- Thoracic surgery fellowship & ABTS certification required
- Broad skillset in thoracic surgery, a subspecialty interest is preferred
- Our cardiovascular team consists of 5 cardiovascular surgeons, 17 noninvasive clinical cardiologists, 13 interventional cardiologists, 9 electrophysiologists, and 40+ advanced practice providers
- Physician-led board/governance structure that directs the strategic direction of the service line
- ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program starting in 2022
- Surgeons perform cardiac surgery in three metro facilities with a robust and growing structural heart program anchored at Research Medical Center
- Performed the first minimally-invasive bypass surgery in Kansas City and the first bi Impella-protected PCI procedure
- A full array of industry-leading, innovative clinical trials and authoring numerous peer-review publications
