Responsibilities

Seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to serve as Medical Director for our hospitalist practice at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister, CA.

  • Responsibilities include coverage for high-risk deliveries, emergency room consults, pediatric admissions of low acuity and well newborn care.
  • Newborns requiring NICU care are transported to our affiliated Level-III NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose.
  • The hospital delivers about 500 babies annually.
  • The full-time schedule is twelve 24-hour shifts per month with call from home.

Located just 25 miles east of Monterey Bay and 40 miles from the Monterey/Carmel area, Hollister is a semi-rural area famous for its fresh and healthy crops.  Here you'll find some of the state's best wineries, spectacular outdoor adventures, world-class golf, charming shops and a wide variety of well-reviewed restaurants.  The beautiful hills and valleys of San Benito County make it a dreamland for outdoor lovers.  Although it is growing quickly, Hollister still maintains the beauties and comforts of a small town, making it an ideal place to call home.

Qualifications

BC Pediatrician with current in-house hospital experience.

  • Base compensation is $190,000 - $230,000 plus director stipend
