Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide inpatient pediatric care in Maryland. This is a temporary position covering for a candidate on vacation, offering 12-hour shifts (8 AM – 8 PM or 8 PM – 8 AM) with no on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 coverage for the Pediatric Department, including:
- Well-baby nursery
- 5-bed pediatric unit
- 5-bed pediatric after-hours unit (located on the pediatric unit)
- Cover inpatient pediatric unit (peds beds and after-hours ED beds)
- Attend deliveries and provide backup for newborn care
- Perform ED consults and inpatient rounding
- Utilize Epic EMR system for charting
Requirements
- Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Active Maryland Medical License
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Certifications: NRP, PALS, and other specialty certifications as needed
- Maryland CSR License & DEA Required
