Responsibilities:

Pre-operative patient evaluation to risk stratify perioperative risk and anesthetic management. Perform general anesthesia, sedation through monitored anesthesia care, and regional anesthesia nerve blocks. Perform arterial and central line placements. Perform intubations and preparing for complex airway situations. Perform anesthetics for specialized surgeries, including but not limited to: neurosurgery, obstetrics, major abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Perioperative management of comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and coronary artery disease. *Supervise Anesthesiologist Assistants and Nurse Anesthetists.

Requirements:

M.D. in Medicine, D.O. in Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent. Must have training in an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency. Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Anesthesiology and possess an active, unrestricted Florida Physician’s License.
