Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: This position uses a scanner to create advanced digital images of patients using computer imaging systems. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Pet Technologist prepares radioactive drugs and injects patients with PET radiopharmaceuticals and radiological therapy injections according to policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging department. The Technologists reinforces and adheres to the core values of the company in order to achieve the mission and vision and follows AIDET guidelines.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Must have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT). Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RT (CT) highly preferred, but not required. BLS issued through American Heart Association required.

- Intermediate EMR computer skills and related systems
EXPERIENCE: Preferred one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist
Exposure to or knowledge of PET/CT studies and nuclear medicine therapies (e.g., Radium 223, Lu177 PSMA, and I-131) helpful, but not required
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Radiology Director

Professional inside office environment and clinical setting
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts, transfers and positions patients and equipment in excess of 50 pounds. Vision (Distance, Near, Peripheral, Color)
