**Hematology/Oncology Medical Director in Knoxville, TN**
**Board Certified in Medical Oncology**
**Minimum 7 years of Clinical Experience**
We are seeking a Medical Director to lead a growing team of medical oncologists, hematologists, and advanced practice providers within a leading cancer care network in East Tennessee. This program is the region s largest provider of oncology services, with nine cancer centers serving 26 counties, including access to advanced treatment technologies such as proton therapy.
This is a high-visibility leadership position and a key member of the cancer program s senior team. The Medical Director will help guide the strategic direction of the oncology program and support its continued expansion into a nationally recognized model of excellence in community-based cancer care.
Position Highlights
Provide clinical oversight of the oncology group and medical oncology program
Collaborate with senior leadership to align and integrate oncology services across all affiliated facilities
Lead recruitment, mentorship, retention, quality initiatives, and growth strategies for physicians and advanced practice providers
Represent oncology services to other departments, physician groups, and executive leadership
Drive strategic initiatives as part of a multi-year expansion plan
Serve as the public representative of the oncology group at events, in marketing, and in external relations
Standardize operations and ensure alignment across sites
Oversee quality and safety programs
Ensure consistent physician engagement in leadership and clinical decision-making
Support development of policies, continuing education, and staff training
Participate in budgeting and program prioritization
Enjoy a balanced mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities

Qualifications
MD or DO degree
