Located in Fayetteville, NC - Raleigh 65m.
Permanent & Full Time Position.
Group seeks to add a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Specialist. Must be BC in Pediatrics or BE/BC in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with formal fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The pediatric intensive care unit is a 7-bed unit that serves the critical needs of medical, surgical, and trauma patients in the pediatric department. The pediatric floor is an 18-bed mixed medical and surgical unit. The service covers both the PICU and the pediatric floor with assistance from physician assistants, residents, and students. Coverage is in-house during the day and on-call overnight. Full-time coverage is 10 24-hour shifts per month.
The group is a 1,000+ bed, 8-hospital regional health system, with more than 1 million inpatient and outpatient visits annually, including a 44-bed level III NICU a private not-for-profit organization with 8,000 employees and more than 1,000 providers on our medical staff. The family birth center delivers 5,000 infants annually. The Pediatric Emergency Department has 17 beds and is staffed by full-time pediatric emergency medicine specialist.
