Seeking a certified Physician Assistant to join Trauma Surgery group.

- Cover 24-hour shifts, 7 am to 7am.
- Join busy Trauma Team in a 424-bed regional referral center with a catchment of 480,000.
- Level II Trauma Center
- In house - 24-hour rotation, four 24-hour shifts per pay period
- Independent and collaborative rounding - trauma patients
- Respond to all trauma activations
- Collaborate with trauma surgeon and ED provider to develop plan of care for all trauma patients from presentation through discharge.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care.
- Great communication skills needed plus strong professional interaction with ancillary departments to enable best patient care and flow.
- Lead interdisciplinary rounds.
- Trauma Clinic - round on trauma patient population and support general surgery.
- This is a 24/7/365 service - weekends and holidays are required.
- Prefer (but not required) Trauma/Critical Care experience
- EMR is EPIC
- ATLS preferred, expected within 6 months of hire.
