Locum Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity

Location: Northwest Pennsylvania
Schedule: 10-15 shifts/month
Travel, Lodging, and Rental Car Included

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a part-time locum assignment in Pennsylvania. The hospital is looking for a dependable physician who is comfortable working solo, managing newborn and pediatric inpatient care, and attending high-risk deliveries.

Key Requirements

• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Active BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Must be able to perform circumcisions and provide logs from the past 2 years (required at submission)
• Pennsylvania medical license preferred (will consider providers needing to obtain)
• Active DEA
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

Role Details

• Shifts: 24-hour call (7 AM – 7 AM), covering approximately 10–15 days per month
• Call Type: In-house response required within 30 minutes; call room available
• EMR: Cerner
• Daily Workflow:
  • Average of 4 newborns rounded per day
  • 1–2 circumcisions per day
  • 2–3 ER consults/new admissions per week
  • Night calls typically for C-sections, high-risk deliveries, newborn resuscitation
• Procedures required: circumcisions, newborn intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical central lines, urinary catheterization, chest tube placement
• No APP/mid-level coverage available
